Research
The South Asian Microbiome
At the University of Toronto, a team of scientists, under the Connaght Global Challenge, are investigating how the microbiome might change when people migrate from South Asia to Toronto. The team will look at how the microbiome is altered in response to global migration and how this could lead to autoimmune disease. Their study is called GEMINI - Generational Differences in Environmental Exposures caused by Migration: Impact on Incidence of Inflammatory Disease.

I am working with this team to produce contrasting animations for educated and lay-audiences in order to recruit participants and communicate the importance of the study and the science behind the microbiome.
